Kirsten Jennifer Shurb was born September 19, 1977 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and raised in Hudson, WI. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1995 and from Iowa State University in 1998 with a degree in Communication Studies and Pre Law. Kirsten currently resides in Minneapolis and works as a management consultant for Accenture. Kirsten's parents, Carolyn and Jerry Shurb, live in Hudson, and her sister Amy is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Scott Andrew Stafne was born May 10, 1972 at Midway Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and raised in Cottage Grove, MN. He graduated from Park High School in 1990 and from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1995. Scott currently resides downtown Minneapolis and works as a technical manager for Accenture. Scott's parents, Gerry and Judy Stafne, live in Cottage Grove. Scott is a lonely only child and welcomes the addition of his soon-to-be-sister-in-law Amy.

Scott and Kirsten like to travel and have a ton of frequest flyer miles left over from working out of town. Since they've been dating, they have traveled to Kansas City, New York City, San Fransisco, Las Vegas, Colorado, Chicago, Washington DC, Iowa, Vancouver BC, and northern Minnesota together.

Scott participates in the annual MS150 when he doesn't have a broken elbow and plays in a basketball league with his dad. Scott is an avid fan of The Simpsons. In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys maintaining her Lactose Intolerance website, plants, reading non-fiction, running in 5K races, and traveling. She does not cook but loves dishes.

Having attended 7 weddings and counting this year alone, displaying at each their prowess on the dance floor, Scott and Kirsten are sure to create a memorable evening for their guests on their wedding day!
